About Us
Desert Cubs Cricket Academy, the largest cricket academy in the Gulf region was born with a passion by Presley Polonnowita, Founder and Head Coach of the academy, to nurture young talents to become great sportsmen & sportswomen and Legends of the future.
It was a modest establishment for us, at the beginning, at a corner net of Sharjah International Cricket Stadium’s practice facilities with a group of 11 youngsters. Since then, our growth has been rapid and unstoppable, and today we are the largest, best equipped, registered cricket academy in the UAE. We are proud to establish ourselves as one of the pre-eminent academies in UAE for training over 3000 registered members in Cricket.
Our coaching techniques are renowned for their quality and finesse, inclusive of state-of-the-art facilities to support our coaching sessions and qualified coaches with First Aid certification to develop cricket amongst the youngsters in this region.
Expanding our wings into different arenas in sports has added several milestones to our journey. Apart from cricket coaching, Desert Cubs has been prominent in organising inbound and outbound international cricket tours, domestic cricket tournaments and facility management in reputed schools in UAE. Such initiatives have been taken by Desert Cubs in order to keep the younger generation physically fit to maintain a healthy lifestyle.

Desert Cubs envisions acting as an academy to effectively nurture and develop young and talented athletes for the future.
Our long-term goal is to set up a Sporting Centre of Excellence with training and coaching facilities for all major sports in the Gulf to produce ‘LEGENDS OF THE FUTURE’, who can adapt to the current and future challenges in the domestic and international sports arena.
